
Also took the opportunity to give the two tomato plants a good trim. I can't believe we're still getting tomatoes from it as the conservatory can get pretty cold these days! It's looking much better now I've trimmed it into an small arch.


veggie growing, chicken keeping and all things to do with our garden
2009 was certainly a good year for veg. We had fabulous crops of everything, even the sweetcorn provided us with a couple of tiny cobs! Best of all were the tomatoes and chilli peppers. I grew both indoors with a few extra tomato plants outside which continued to produce until late Autumn. First timers for 2009 were peas - absolutely gorgeous, certainly going to do them again. I did miss my leeks, but used the space for the peas and beans. Will have to squeeze them in somehow this year.
